My DLF

Many years ago, when I visited my dear friend Kaitlin in Idaho, I started becoming good friends with her younger sister, Annika.  Our friendship has since grown and we love being around each other, laughing, talking, playing piano duets, or just spending time.  Today, she is actually my height or taller, so I cannot truthfully call her my DLF (dear little friend) but I will anyways :)

Here are some pictures of our misadventures over the years :)

Making peanut butter balls, January of 2009.

Annika is keeping an eye on her younger brother Isaac (but didn't catch him in time!) as he snitches some chocolate :)

Swinging together, summer of 2010.

Standing tall with the Statue of Liberty in Sandpoint, not NYC :)

Sharing a joke on a fence, December 2011.

Frolicking on the trampoline, summer 2012.

Ditto :)

A quick nap after the frolic :)

At a dance, summer 2012.  (I might add we both got bangs around the same time :)

Annika is brilliant at....
-math
-piano
-organizing
-managing children
-shopping wisely :)
-giving strong hugs
-quoting silly movies
-being my fellow "eggless it" :D  (neither one of us can eat eggs)

Thanks for the years of laughing uncontrollably, cooking, cleaning, bouncing, swinging friendship, Annika!
I love and miss you bunches!
xoxo,
Elise

  1. Sounds like you have quite the friend there. Friends are so awesome, aren't they? :D I only have two really close friends, but really that all I need. No jealousy that way, hee! :)

    God bless~!

  2. Hi Treskie!
I quite agree :) I love having close friends! They are so worth the effort to get to know them well.
    Thanks for reading!
