E & G

This is Ginger.  Bold, striking, and sassy.

This is Ethel.  She thinks Ginger gets too much attention.  She's probably right.

Ginger's favorite thing is a piece of sparkly star-wrapped wire, all wound up
and tossed across the room for her to chase and then gnaw on.

Gnawing in full swing :)

Photographing living things is my best and my favorite :)  People come first, of course, but after that animals and nature are the most enjoyable to capture.
All these different subjects inspire me to praise and adore our Maker!

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia!  Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!

O praise Him!  O praise Him!
Alleluia!  Alleluia!  Alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him!  Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!

Have a blessed weekend!
xoxo,
Elise

  1. Hello Elise. So good to know you through your profile on the blogger and I am also glad to stop by your blog "Fleur d'Elise" and the post on it "E & G". Those are indeed beautiful pirctures of cat in different poses. I like them all but above all I liked your composition of a beautiful poem which has touched my heart and I am so blessed by your poem. Thank you so much for blessing me through your poem which is a song of Praise of Heavenly father. Well let me share about our church program which you may like. I am in the Pastoral ministry for last 35yrs in the great city of Mumbai, India a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the West to come to Mumbai on a short / long term missions tirp to work with us in the slums of Mumbai aomgst poorest of poor during their summer/ christmas time. We would love to have you come with your friends to work with us in the slums of Mumbai amongst poorest of poor during your summer/ christmas vacation. I am sure you will have a life chaning experience. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwkar Wankhede. May the Lord richly bless you and guide you as you prayerfully think of this opening.

  2. Hello Diwkar,

Thank you for your kind comment! I am glad you have enjoyed my pictures; it gives me joy to practice and learn photography. As for the poem, it was actually written by St. Francis of Assisi, and is a favorite hymn of mine as well.

Thank you also for sharing about your ministry in Mumbai! It helps me to pray with knowledge for the progress of Christ's Kingdom around the world. I am unable to go to India at this time, as I am needed at home, but I will keep you and your ministry in my prayers!

  3. These photos are stunning, Elise! Taking pictures of cats can be terribly addictive, don't you think? :)

  4. Thanks, Éowyn! The addiction wouldn't be such a problem if the cats weren't so far away ;)

    Have a blessed day!
